I offer weekly individual 45-50 minute psychotherapy sessions that are solely based on the client’s needs. Individual sessions offer a non-judgmental and a safe space for you to explore your concerns and reflect on your experiences. The sessions will be empowering and collaborative as you are the expert of your life. I’ll offer genuine support, feedback, and valuable insight during our work.

Areas of Specialization

Emotional Regulation

Emotions are sometimes hard to navigate and regulate. It sometimes feels like our emotions are taking over us. Using skills rooted in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I assist you in living more in the present and build distress tolerance to help regulate and soothe your emotions.

Mood changes and overwhelming feelings, expected or unexpected, can be difficult and lonely.  Living with depression and anxiety often feels like you’re trapped inside your head. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and explore where they’re stemming from. We’ll also explore skills to use that can help in making every day a little easier.

Relationships

I’ve found that underlying all the symptoms and diagnosis, so many of our struggles stem from difficulties in our relationships. Understanding our attachment systems, codependency, boundaries, and relational patterns can be helpful in building healthy and safe relationships that meet our needs.

Self-Esteem

The way we perceive ourselves affects all areas of our life. You might be noticing that your confidence and your thoughts about yourself affect your relationships, your behaviors, and your choices. Together we can work on self-compassion, acceptance, and on increasing self-love.

Changes can bring about a range of emotions, challenges, and adjustments. It can feel exciting, yet scary and overwhelming. We’ll explore the ways you can adjust to the changes and the emotions that accompany it.

Life Transitions

Sometimes we experience events that cause emotional and physical harm and change our biological responses to stimuli. We also often experience traumatic experiences like a break-up, or a toxic relationship. My aim is to build a safe space for you to explore and process these experiences. We’ll also work on finding tools to ground and calm yourself when triggers appear.
